Add a Web Services trading pickup

A community trading pickup is an object that specifies how you want your local community to consume messages over the Internet from a remote partner. This topic describes how to create a community trading pickup for Web Services exchanges.

Prerequisites

The trading pickup resides in a community object. Before you add a trading pickup you must add a community to represent your enterprise as a Web Services exchange participant.

Procedure

  1. In the user interface, from the Trading configuration menu select Manage trading configuration.
  2. From the list of communities, click the name the community you created in step 1. This displays the Summary page for that community.
  3. Click the Trading pickup icon in the navigation graphic to open the Trading pickups page for the community.
  4. Click Add a pickup to open the Exchange Wizard.
  5. For the transport protocol select Web Services (HTTP).
  6. On the Choose transport protocol page the only option is HTTP.
  7. On the Choose HTTP transport type page select the option Use the sytem's global embedded HTTP server
  8. On the Configure URL page, enter the URL that you will use to expose this Web Service.
  9. On the Exchange name page - Enter a name for the trading pickup. For example, MyWS_pickup. This is the name that is displayed in the Activator user interface.
  10. Click Finish.
