Add a Web Services trading pickup
A community trading pickup is an object that specifies how you want
your local community to consume messages over the Internet from a remote
partner. This topic describes how to create a community trading pickup for Web Services exchanges.
Prerequisites
The trading pickup resides in a community object. Before you add a trading pickup you must add a community to represent your enterprise as a Web Services exchange participant.
Procedure
- In the user interface, from the Trading configuration menu select Manage trading configuration.
- From the list of communities, click the name the community you created in step 1. This displays the Summary page for that community.
- Click the Trading pickup icon in the navigation graphic to open the Trading pickups page for the community.
- Click Add a pickup to open the Exchange Wizard.
- For the transport protocol select Web Services (HTTP).
- On the Choose transport protocol page the only option is HTTP.
- On the Choose HTTP transport type page select the option Use the sytem's global embedded HTTP server
- On the Configure URL page, enter the URL that you will use to expose this Web Service.
- On the Exchange name page - Enter a name for the trading pickup. For example, MyWS_pickup. This is the name that is displayed in the Activator user interface.
- Click Finish.
After you create the Web Services community trading pickup
The pickup is added to the list that displays on the community's Trading pickups page.
- You can tune or modify the Web Services pickup.
